Bill Warriner Floribunda Rose

Bill Warriner™ is named in honor of Jackson and Perkins chief hybridizer, and it is truly an outstanding rose. Its covered with large clusters of lightly sweet-scented, 3- to 4-inch, salmon-coral flowers of perfect hybrid tea form. This superb rose has excellent substance, making it a good choice for cutflower arrangements as well as the garden. The blooms arise in flushes throughout the season on 5- to 15-inch stems, opening from pointed, ovoid buds and displaying rise in flushes throughout the season on 5- to 15-inch stems, opening from pointed, ovoid buds and displaying 26 to 40 ruffled petals each. Its glossy, dark green foliage is disease resistant, and due to its compact habit (only reaching 2 to 3 feet high and wide at maturity) and long bloom season, Bill Warriner™ is a great selection for the residential landscape. What a fantastic rose for garden or container! Plant this floribunda in medium-moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Spring pruning is recommended. Old and dead wood should be removed and canes that cross need to be cut back. Gardeners in warmer climates should cut back the remaining canes by about one-third, while those in colder areas will probably want to prune a little more than that. It can be grown in the ground or in a container (containers will require winter protection). read more
