Revol is a French porcelain company that originated in 1789 when brothers Joseph-Marie and Francois Revol went on a walk after a storm and discovered a deposit of kaolin. That led to the creation of stoneware that was much stronger than pieces made from the red sandstone that potters and tile makers... Read More of the region were using. The Revol factory generated a nonporous formula that made fine porcelain serving dishes, dinnerware, bakeware, and cookware such as the brand's ceramic frying pan. Its crumpled cups come in 24 colors, 11 patterns, and nine sizes. Revol's high-quality porcelain is special because the company produces its own clay. This allows adjustments to the clay to better fit manufacturing practices. Cooking professionals design, test, and approve new products for Revol; French chef Regis Marcon has partnered with Revol since 1994. Revol also works with many cooking schools such as the French Pastry School and At-Sunrice. Revol's products are strong, chip-resistant, and able to go directly from the oven to the dining table. The Revol Revolution collection includes a selection of cocottes in six colors and nine sizes. Revol Revolution Green Round Cocottes are safe for all cooktops, including induction and flame cooktops. These cocottes are made of 100 percent recyclable material and are freezer-, oven-, and dishwasher-safe.
