Our annual celebratory blend, crafted anew from the year?s best teas. This year?s blend is rich, bright and floral with a bold briskness. This year?s Anniversary Breakfast Blend started with Second Flush Darjeelings. This is appropriate, si...nce Alfred Peet had a penchant for these teas, and developed a great source for them that still supplies us today. We use Darjeeling in several of our blends because nothing else has the complexity, brightness and fragrance that they possess. When you taste this blend you?ll notice the winy, floral aroma and lingering taste of specially selected lots from Singbulli and Sungma Estates. We import these teas directly from the owner of the estates in India. Also from India, we?ve included a golden-tipped Assam tea that offers cup strength and maltiness to the blend. To complement the Darjeeling and Assam India teas, we traveled to Nepal and revisited a white-tipped tea previously in Anniversary Breakfast Blend for its floral aroma and bright taste. We finished the blend with a Congou black tea from southeastern China that adds a hint of cocoa. Any of the teas blended in this year?s Anniversary Breakfast Blend could be offered individually as single origin teas. Together in the cup, the blend has a rich, bright, and malty flavor with a hint of natural sweetness only found in some of the world?s finest teas. We hand-select all of these special, small-lot teas for this blend to offer the perfect tribute to our Anniversary. This year's Anniversary Breakfast Blend is available for a limited time.
