A robust, disease-resistant addition to the garden, this carefree, reblooming Shrub Rose produces clusters of lovely, fragrant flo...wers over a long season. Each cupped, double bloom is crowded with petals the color of honeyed apricot with hints of yellow at the center. The blossoms arrive in flushes against a backdrop of healthy, dark green leaves on vigorous, bushy plants that grow up to 3′ tall. We enjoy growing these stunning plants in containers where they continue to blossom well into fall. Even the novice Rose grower will have success with this easy-care variety. 'HORCOGJIL' PP 27,541 Roses offer colors, perfumes, forms, and habits to suit every garden situation. The tenacious efforts of breeders have yielded Roses with the best attributes of different varieties in new forms. Hybrid Teas, lovely as ever, now combine long bloom periods with the vigor to shrug off pests. Shrub Roses bloom for months, rather than weeks, in addition to their ever-appealing hardiness and longevity. A new group is so exceptionally long-blooming and carefree that they are simply called "Landscape Roses." In short, these are not your grandmother’s, or even your mother’s, finicky Roses. Simply choose according to your circumstances. Roses require 6 or more hours of direct sun per day and a fertile, reasonably moist soil. For more information on Rose care, click Growing Guide. Tip: We use {item_link sku="58793" text="Organic Gem"} as a foliar feed on Rose bushes in our trial garden and find plants are healthier and perform better throughout the season.Hardiness Zone:5-9S/W Blooms In:August July June September Spacing:30-36" Height:30-36" Ships as:TWO QUART POT read more

Each fully double, white flower head of this Lacecap Hydrangea is like a mini bridal bouquet, with an outer ring of large, double ...flowers surrounding a center packed with smaller, double ones. Flowering begins earlier than other varieties, and continues on new growth into fall if spent blooms are removed regularly. 'Wedding Gown' is hardy, stays compact, and prefers light shade. Also known as 'Dancing Snow'. PP 21,052 For gardeners in Zone 5, we advise planting H. macrophyllas in a sheltered location and giving them a winter mulch. This will provide protection from winds and cold temperatures that can damage flower buds. White Flower Farm

From the folks who introduced compact Blueberry bushes comes this double-fruiting variety. Perpetua is so-named because it flowers... and fruits in midsummer and then again in the fall. The small berries are sweet and delicious, and the plant’s glossy dark green foliage turns yellow and red in autumn. These vigorous plants grow 4–5' tall, and will keep you harvesting over a long season. Although plants are self-pollinating, they tend to produce better harvests when grown with a different Blueberry variety to help with cross-pollination. PP 24,209Formerly known as BrazelBerries, Bushel and Berry self-pollinating varieties fare as well in containers as in the ground. The berries are anything but dwarf, and once the plants are established, they will fruit reliably for years. Growing Bushel and Berry in containers: Bushel and Berry bushes are dwarf plants that produce full-size fruit. They will produce some fruit in the first couple of years, but really hit their stride in the third year and beyond. Upon arrival, replant in a 12-16" container using a peat-based potting soil mix with pine bark. Place the container outdoors in full sun for the growing season. As your plant matures, you will likely need to put it in a 20-24" diameter container. Your plant will start producing more fruit in the second year. Fertilizing. Bushel and Berry Blueberries thrive in acid soil (pH of 4.5-5.5). Fertilize your plants with a slow-release fertilizer designed for acid-loving plants in spring and again in midsummer. Pruning. In spring, prune out any dead branches. After harvest, prune out fruit-bearingbranches, leaving new branches to fruit the following season. Wintering over. In colder climates (Zone 5), you can overwinter plants in their containers by storing them in a sheltered, unheated area such as a garage or shed once the leaves drop in fall. Be certain the soil is moist when the plant is brought under cover, and water very sparingly during the winter. Once every 6 weeks is generally sufficient. The intent is for the plant to go as dormant as possible. In spring, bring them outside when temperatures remain above 25° and place in full sun. In warmer climates where freeze-thaw cycles occur, store plants on a protected porch. Where freezing is not a concern, plants can remain outdoors in containers and enjoyed year round. Growing Bushel and Berry Blueberries in the ground:Choose a planting location in full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sun each day) with soil that is moisture-retentive yet well drained. Because Blueberries grow best in soil that has an acid pH and is rich in humus, you should replace about half of the soil dug from the planting hole with at least as much peat moss. Mix the peat moss thoroughly into the remaining soil, and then dig a hole that will generously accommodate the plant's root ball. Gently remove the plant from its pot and place into the hole so that the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Then push soil back into the hole around the plant and press firmly with your hands to eliminate air pockets and establish good soil contact. A gentle but thorough watering will further settle the soil around the plant.Blueberries require about 1″ of rain or irrigation per week. Surrounding your plants with a 4–5′ circle of mulch helps keep the soil moist and prevents the growth of weeds. Apply a 2–4″ layer of wood chips, shredded bark, or other organic material. The year after planting (and every year thereafter) apply a fertilizer designed for acid-loving plants at flowering time in spring and again about 4 weeks later.Hardiness Zone:4-8S/W Blooms In:May Spacing:24-30" Height:4-5' Ships as:ONE GALLON POT read more

Enjoy a lifetime of beauty by planting these peonies around your home this spring! Lifetime Peonies are a one-time investment for ...a lifetime of delightful foliage and massive late-spring to early-summer blooms. In fact, a single planting may provide beauty for several generations since roots can be divided again and again. It is not at all unusual for quality peonies to bloom year after year for many decades. In some Asian temple gardens, there are peony hedges that have provided continuous beauty for over one hundred years. No plant provides so much beauty with so little care. The trick to enjoying the full beauty of peonies is to start by planting large, top-quality roots. But finding such quality roots has become increasingly difficult. Top varieties are frequently unavailable, and quite often only small root divisions are offered for sale. Our garden experts have arranged with leading peony specialists to obtain their finest peony masterpieces-all ideal for planting in American gardens. These Lifetime Peonies are the result of years of patient development. The big, healthy, heavy 2-3 eye divisions are easy to plant and require little care—a gardener's dream! They're extremely hardy and grow and bloom decade after decade. You don't even have to give them special attention, such as protection from harsh winter weather. Properly planted, Lifetime Peonies will bloom faithfully every spring, even if entirely neglected. About the time your tulips have finished, the big flower buds appear and your peonies begin to bloom. One soft petal after another slowly breaks away from the tight, round bud until each massive bloom is as large as 6" across and spreading its heavenly fragrance. Peonies also make delightful cut flowers—each beautiful, long-lasting bloom becomes almost a bouquet in itself. Versatile For Planting You'll love Lifetime Peonies for planting in those special spots where you've always wanted a dramatic floral show. They are excellent for planting in open spaces among shrubs... at the edge of woodlands...as a 2-4' backdrop for lower-growing flowers... along a foundation or fence...and what a delight to create a dramatic hedge all spring and summer along your walks and driveways. Plant them 2-3' apart in full sun or partial shade. They're not at all fussy about soil. This collection includes 1 each of the following varieties: • Coral Sunset • Felix Supreme • Monsieur Jules Elie • Shirley Temple • Bowl of Beauty read more
