Deep purple, 3″ blooms with an 'eye' of creamy stamens. They are borne in such profusion that they all but obscure the foliage, wh...ich explains why many Clematis aficionados rate this variety among the most free-flowering of all the hybrids. Peak bloom falls in July here, with rebloom continuing into September on vines that grow 8–12′. It's a knockout. Pruning group 3. For beautiful colors, extravagance of blooms, and graceful habit, nothing compares with Clematis, the queen of the flowering vines. Whether used on posts or fences, clambering through shrubs and trees, or following wire frames in borders, they will enrich the landscape. This species has by far the most interesting and attractive foliage of the genus and goes by the common name Bear's Foot Hellebore.... The leathery, dark green leaves are evergreen except in severe winters and are divided into 7–10, serrated fingers arranged in the shape of a fan. They offer a compelling contrast with Hostas and Ferns. The clusters of 1″ bell-shaped blooms, which appear on 18–24″ stems, are pale green with a maroon rim. They're not in a league with the flowers of Delphiniums or Clematis, but we're grateful for color of any kind so early in spring. For the serious shade gardener, this plant is a must. It will self sow and, like other Hellebores, is deer resistant. Forsythia Show Off is perfect for a tight hedge or a specimen in a border. A Proven Winners/Color Choice variety. 'Mindor' PP 19,321 It is impossible to live in a northern climate and be unfamiliar with Forsythia. The durability, vigor, and abundant yellow flowers of this early bloomer make it one of the most popular and important ornamental plants known. Forsythia is a vigorous grower in all but damp soils (which it doesn't like), and it can get out of control if left to its own devices. But a touch of pruning, best done right after flowering to preserve the next year's buds, produces a satisfactory form for practically any location. Snip a few arching sprays for winter forcing, and you'll never notice the difference. Underplanted with spring-flowering bulbs, Forsythia can and should be a highlight in the spring garden. Our fully-budded plants open their sweetly fragrant, white flowers in midwinter. We offer a bushy plant grown in an 8" green nurse...ry pot with drip tray and wire hanger. We ship your order with complete care instructions. In response to concerns from some of our customers, we have spent a great deal of time fine-tuning our shipping methods. Instead of shipping out a portion of our plants in late fall to get ahead of the cold weather, we are holding them back and allowing the buds to grow a little larger while keeping a close eye on the weather conditions. Our goal is for all of our customers to enjoy the white star-shaped blossoms and wonderful fragrance in their homes or offices. For long bloom, Jasmine prefer cooler temperatures and bright indirect light. Make sure to water your Jasmine when only the top half inch of soil is dry. Jasminum polyanthum is a handsome, subtropical vine whose dark green leaves provide a perfect backdrop for its January display of elegant and exquisitely fragrant white flowers. This is the perfume of the tropics, a rich, sweet scent that will fill a house or lightly carry through a southern garden. Perennial in Zones 9–10. Please note that some care will be required to be certain of flowers in the future. A longtime star of catalogs and interior design magazines, this hard-to-find foliage plant is an easy-care evergreen shrub that ad...ds a tropical feel to any interior. Native to Central America, Split-Leaf Philodendron (Monstera deliciosa) grows as an understory vine, climbing the trunks and branches of trees in the rainforest to reach up to 70’. Indoors, it is considerably tamer, creating a lush mound of glossy leaves in a container. The heart-shaped leaves are whole when young, and as they age, they develop perforations and splits.
