Leviton Manufacturing Co. is the largest privately held manufacturer of electrical wiring equipment in North America. The company was founded in 1906 by Evser Leviton when he began manufacturing brass mantel tips for the natural-gas lighting infrastructure in Manhattan. The company has operations in more than 85 countries across six continents. Brands sold by Leviton include Cheetah, Decora, Evr-Green, and EXtreme.

Leviton products include electrical wiring devices such as AC switches, dimmers, night-lights, lamp holders, and wall plates; energy-management devices such as surge protectors and temporary-power devices; lighting controls; entertainment lighting such as lighting consoles; network solutions in copper and fiber optic; and electric vehicle charging kits. Popular sellers include dimmers, timer switches, wall plates, and wiring adapters.
