The top is an absolute disaster of a design. I cannot use any pots or pans without scratching the **** thing. I'm a good cook, and I cannot use any of my cast iron pots or pans as well as my very expensive all clad. Every little movement creats a scratch. My $2000+ stove looks ratty and old already no matter what I do to polish or clean. I wish just one salesperson would have educated me just a bit! I would have stayed with my plan to switch to gas. Now I have a very expensive thorn in my kitchen. So so horribly frustrated! by saintbernarddogsTruckee, CA | Sat, Aug 17, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag read more

It is beautiful, and the controls are intuitive. I'll start with the oven, then the convection microwave. The oven is simply a work of art. Blue inside, and what I love best about it is that the lights are very bright. When the oven light is off, the glass looks black. When you turn it on, the inside is as bright as a room, and you can see everything cooking. It is like art, and I love to watch it. The oven temps are dead on, and it works well as a convection oven as well as standard. The correction temp program for the convection oven works great, and the probe was dead on when I made a roast. I thought the microwave would be inconvenient because you open it like an oven, and my kids complained, but we have gotten used to it and its fine. The handles match my refrigerator, and they feel really good on my hands when I open the oven. Very ergonomically well thought out. Very very nice. Already have a service order to replace icemaker. First one lasted four months and second one lasted three months. The icemaker performs so poorly if you have guests over to entertain you better use the middle drawer for cold drinks. Icemaker does not produce enough ice for two to have drinks over the weekend. We always have to have a bag of purchased ice in freezer for the failure rate of the refrigerator. Also the stainless steel is fake. Only magnet works to post reminders or pictures are on the side. I had read a number of comments about problems with the Kenmores ice makers so we decided on the Samsung based on Consumers Report top rating. So far, the Samsung has lived up to Consumers review. It is very quiet. Temperatures are only a couple of degrees off from the display and have remained consistant in each compartment. I randomly tested temperatures using a high quality laser thermometer. The ice maker is performing as advertised. In the freezer booster mode it put out about 10 pounds in 24 hours. However, after 6 months it just stopped working. I'm fairly sure the pump is gone. I think I'll just chalk down as a lost $300 and buy a GOOD dishwasher. Stay away from this! by RyanIIrvine, CA | Fri, May 30, 2014 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 4 visitors found this helpfulVerified PurchaseS'okay My wife and I bought this because we just bought a new home, and the existing dish washer didn't work. We are trying to stay on a budget, so this, basically, was the most affordable stainless dishwasher we could find. It's not rated as one of the quietest dishwashers you can buy, but we really haven't noticed the noise being an issue. That may be different for some others. We haven't run it a whole lot, but at this point we're partially pleased with the cleaning quality. We've had some issues with dirtier dishes and some utensils not getting completely clean. For the cost though, it's not a bad pick. Had it delivered and had some friends over to help with the install. First off, everything is inside the machine for shipping, and it is not readily apparent how to open it. I pulled on it but it did not open; eventually I removed what appeared to be a small clip on the top that was inserted into the door. Luckily I didn't throw it away, because that is in fact the latch. There is no lever like my old one to lock the door, you just close it and latches automatically. There should definitely be some kind of sticker on that to guide you. We had no other major surprises during the install. Note that this does not come with everything you need. I would suggest getting the install kit, but you may also need various small items like hose clamps (depending on your drain situation) and components for hooking up the electric. All that said, once installed, this dishwasher works very well. The adjustable top rack is a nice feature, but even better is the top rack only wash feature. The other good feature is having the silverware holder on the door instead of the bottom, this adds a significant amount of space for larger items on the bottom rack. My only other quibble is that the directions seem to be for all Whirlpool dishwashers. They are not specific to the model. This seems like a generally bad idea to me.
