We are really happy with it so far. Even my 3 sons, who don't generally notice things like appliances, have remarked multiple times how nice it is. Cons: We ended up taking a shelf out completely to make more space for taller things like ******-sized jugs of juice, but we don't miss it. The freezer is smaller than we were used to but we have a second, traditional-style fridge in the garage that stores our big stuff (******-size things), so that's not a deal-breaker for us. You have to open both doors to open the bottom deli drawer since it spans the whole width of the fridge. We plan to replace the soda can shelf since that's not something we stock in the fridge. Pros: I like that the doors can be opened independently without worrying about the order in which they are closed like I read on other French door fridge reviews. You can see all of your food, especially with that bottom deli drawer, so I think we will waste a lot less food than in our side-by-side. The kids like the interior water dispenser and I like that, having it inside, I won't get as many fingerprints and water drips on the exterior doors. Our old fridge had the exterior water dispenser and all of the buttons wore through the plastic. It looked terrible. I don't miss having an ice dispenser because it always ended up dripping down the front and making a mess. With three sons, it's better that they have to manually get ice. :) This fridge has nice, clean lines and looks really good. The counter-depth is awesome. It sticks out less than our last fridge, therefore giving us a little more room in the kitchen. I am definitely a big fan of this counter-depth refrigerator. It is quiet and keeps all my food and vegies fresher longer. It looks great in my kitchen and only sticks out a couple inches from the counter, but that's perfect for me. The width and height and depth gives the appearance of a built-in refrigerator. The ease of getting water, ice cubes, and food out of the refrigerator makes me very pleased. The stable temperature, on-time delivery and install was a breeze. We had our kitchenaid GSS907SWH installed a couple of weeks ago. For the style and price for a slidein, it was the best looking of the bunch (though stainless steel is a lot harder to keep clean:)). Other than the keeping it clean issue, the only real con is the fan noise while baking. The unit has a fan that turns on when the oven gets hot, I think to keep the components cool and prolong it's life. It is a little louder than I would like, but I can live with it. For comparison, you cannot hear the convection fan as the cooling fan is a little louder. It also blows cool - luke warm air out of the bottom of the unit between the oven door and the warming door. Now to the things I really like... This is a great looking unit. To my surprise, the oven has an electric heating element that works with the gas element to heat the oven. I was really impressed at how much faster it heats the oven than my 5 year old GE range that it replaced. It seems to really cook well and has a cool display on the front of the unit that shows what elements are working depending on what your setting is. On top of the range, there power burner is really nice. It only took me 2 minutes for me to boil water for some mac and cheese then other day (clocked it). It gets really hot above that burner when it is on high. On the down side, you are better off cooking med to low temp stuff on the other burners as the power burner is too hot for cooking things like eggs, and the simmer is not quite hot enough for eggs. I was also told by a repair person that the biggest problems with the power burner was when liquids spill over onto the element, the screws sometimes rust making it hard to replace things in there. The other elements work well. The rear left back element is a higher heat element, but I find that the front right and rear left elements, while lower heat, work fine fo read more

In that time, we have replaced the motherboard three times and the gas valve twice. When we try to use the cleaning feature, it "gets too hot" and damages the thermostat. The serviceman said this is a design flaw and that we should not use it. The latest damage happened after we had kept the oven on hot for several hours for a pizza party. It "was too hot for too long" and blew a solenoid. Also, the enamel around the oven window is chipping. NOT WORTH THE PRICE AND HEADACHE!!!! It will only brown one tray of cookies at a time, no matter where you position the oven racks. A disaster. I inadvertantly shut off oven 5 times when I barely touched the panel on the front while stirring gravy on the stove. Had to reprogram probe and oven temp over and over. Then vapor poured out the front vent (which should be located on the stove top or rear) fogging up the panel buttons and running down the front of the range. This will likely lead to the electric panel malfunctioning down the road. We have had it for 2 months as of Dec 2011. However, we have identified 1 major issue. When you turn the oven on and then try to turn on some burners, all of the electronics on the range reset. The display screen blanks out, the timer resets, and the oven temp resets. Sometimes it happens the first time you turn on 1 burner, sometimes you can light 3 or 4 burners before it resets itself. It only happens when the oven is on and then you turn on the burners. We have had warranty repair out twice so far. The first time they switched some wires around inside the unit, but this did not resolve the issue. The second time they spent 2 hrs replacing the Electronics and the ignition, but the issue continued. When the technician called Kitchenaid support for further assistance, he was told that it was a "known issue with no current resolution". I hope that they will be resolving the issue soon. Until they resolve the issue, I would not recommend this unit as being fit for purpose. by TheLawnRanger2Glenside, PA | Thu, Dec 8, 2011 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag read more

Immediately upon installation, I noticed that when a gas burner is lit, the control panel goes blank and resets. If the oven is on when you do this, it shuts off. You can't do anything until you set the clock and start over again. Other quality issues: one gas control has gotten stuck in both the safety (pulled out) and the ready-to-light (pushed in) position. This could be dangerous as the knob can be turned easily. Also, there is a cooling fan on the small oven that is very loud and annoying -- much louder than on the large oven. I've already had three service appointments and none of these issues has been resolved. KitchenAid has done nothing to remedy the situation. Next week I have to take a fourth day off work to have another company come out and do a "second opinion" to see what they recommend. Glaring quality issues aside, here is what I think about the range and features. The burners all give a good range of heat settings. Even the large (20k btu) burners go pretty low. The griddle heats evenly, though it takes over 15 minutes to pre-heat. It resists sticking pretty well with non-stick spray - about as well as a polished stainless steel pan. It cleans up pretty easily while it is warm, but it does take some elbow grease to polish off the marks of the food that was cooked on it. I haven't used the ovens very much because of the reset problem described above, but the thing that bugs me is that there is a cooling fan that strongly blows air out of the front of the range as soon as the oven is turned on. At first, it's cool air, but the oven vent is also at the front, so eventually it gets warm and blows the heat and the exhaust out into the room. This seems like poor design to me -- the oven exhaust should be in a location where the fumes can be caught by the range hood. The other design flaw in my opinion is the control panel location. It faces upward in front of the two center rows of burners. Any splatter from these burners ends up on the control panel and it always looks dirty. I chose this model over the 36" because at least the control panel isn't in front of the griddle. However, it still stays dirty all the time. Even without the quality issues, I would not recommend this stove. by kudzuedAtlanta, GA | Tue, May 17, 2011 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag read more

Not enough water is dispensed to soak the wash properly, should have a manual override, wich is currently automatic using a sensor system to control the water level. 2. The hot water is really not hot because cold water is interjected so the water is not hot enough to kill germs, again a manual override should be available, which should also allow for rinsing in other than cold water. The other complaint we have is that the washer is pretty noisy, other than that, it performs rather well, except again the rinsing is not very thourough due to insufficient water level. Dryer works fine. by JacobusAJu, | Thu, Jan 2, 2014 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 2 visitors found this helpfulOverall, the washer dryer performs well. The machine seems to work well. This being said, when I select "Hot" on the water temperature it never seems to be much more than warm when I've tested it by touch. by GaryS, | Thu, Nov 14, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 1 visitors found this helpfulGreat space saver but large enough for blankets, quilt etc. Happy with choice. I work with a team a plumbers and so they are constantly bringing back crawl suits and jackets just caked with mud and more, and this machine has no problem taking care of it. The only draw back is, some of the rocks and things washed off the clothes, is left at the bottom of the machine which requires a little more physical cleaning on our end, but most people aren't gonna be putting it through that much of a test. by Barnett780, | Tue, Nov 5, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 1 visitors found this helpfulThe product fits in our space. This machine fits in the space that we have available and performs well. It meets all of our laundry needs. by FrankP, | Tue, Nov 5, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag ideal size Overall very pleased with this washer/dryer combination. It's a little hard to see in washer when taking clothes out with the dryer above but i think this is true of all the combination machines. Washer is a bit loud when doing small or medium size loads but is very good when run on full size load. Washer does good job as far as cleaning clothes and the spin cycle works very well. It's the perfect size for area where we have it. Overall very pleased and would recommend to anyone needing a combination machine. by Butch49, | Tue, Oct 29, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 2 visitors found this helpfulVERY HAPPY This washer and dryer work great...Just got it.
