At first I was excited by the higher capacity and efficiency even though it takes longer. Now I HATE it. It is a miracle if a load finishes without at least one and usually two to three, sometimes four Uneven Loads stopping the machine. One day it took 5 hours to complete a load of sheets and towels. I am not overloading the machine. In fact I am afraid to put even a slightly large load in the machine. I no longer wash sheets and towels together because the washer can't balance itself. Once I washed two tablecloths on the delicate cycle and it stopped during a spin because it was unbalanced. Today, it took almost 6 hours to complete a load of three sets of twin sheets - certainly not near the capacity of this machine. I literally stood there while it was completing each cycle so that the minute it stopped with the UE I could rebalance it. I am BABYSITTING my washer!!! Little did I know that when I walked away with 10 minutes on the spin cycle that I would return and it STILL wasn't done. 4 minutes to go but UE again. I'm done. This is beyond ridiculous. I deliberately did not buy a front loading washer due to the feedback on odors. I guess I'm back to an old fashioned agitator. Doing laundry has become torture. I had to laugh at your ad for this machine. "Set your timer to do a load overnight and wake up to it being done" HA! I would say there's a 20% chance of that happening. If anyone from Sears has any advice please contact me. by Karen510 Lakeville, PA | Tue, Dec 10, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | share | flag 5 visitors found this helpful Excellent washer This a great washer that cleans and the clothes come smelling fresh. Most of the bad reviews on this machine are user errors. Like the unbalance error, if you load the machine properly(like the manual states) the load won't go off balance. We had a top a line GE washer and drier until my washer died and the kenmore washes clothes as good or better. We researched and looked around and we decided to buy this Kenmore and we don't regret it. I was skeptical on buying the set due to some of the reviews. But we decided on this set due to having to have a washer/dryer by the weekend, it had a drying rack inside, and my husband liked the steam cartridge on the top of the dryer instead of splitting it off of the washer water line, less chance for leaks in the long run. We did pay to have it installed, and I am glad I did. The installer told us to have the front feet in the dryer a little lower than the back, you cant even notice it, but its because the heat sensor is in the front and the clothes need to hit that to let the dryer know if they are dry and to stop early. Also for the steam, do not used distilled water use tap, we were told by 2 people to use it but the manual specifically says not to because the sensor to tell you if you need more water in the container will not work and then you can burn your motor up if its trying to steam and they is no water in there. I steamed 3 khaki pants this morning, took 20 minutes, and there was NOT one wrinkle in any of them and NO water spots! One container full will get you several steam cycles, I barely used any. Love this cycle because I hate to iron. Love the santize options since one of my children has allergies. Love the blue light display, the turn on chime, dome light, dryer rack, and how although settings are predetermined I can up the drying time or heat. I also like how it shows me how much time is left on the washer and dryer and both are quiet and we have a crawl space below. It has cut my drying time in 1/2 compared to my last dryer.. I sometimes had to dry a load of towels twice and now I only dry them once for about 54 minutes and there are twice or three times as many in there! We absolutely love this set and we are so happy we bought them and we love the metallic color! Also we had to set it out from the wall a little bit to account for the dryer vent and the 3 inches extra that sticks out on the back, we are going to minimize the chance of clothes falling behind them by putting a shelf behind there to put detergent on. You can not go wrong on this set! I would recommend this product to a friend. by Mama-MiaThe Villages, FL | Sun, Sep 8, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 2 visitors found this helpfuldisappointing This unit replaced one I had for almost 13 yrs. However, although newer and much more expensive than the last one, I am very disappointed for 2 reasons. (1) the controls are overly complicated. I used to be able to start a drying cycle with a simple twist and pull. Now, I have to turn it on, then select a cycle (NO default???), fiddle with custom settings (explained next), and finally start it. (2) This dryer's default settings don't completely dry the clothes! I can only get satisfactory drying by selecting "Extra Dry", which requires 2 extra button pushes each cycle. I find this unacceptable. by r0369Inglewood, CA | Sun, Jul 14, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 2 visitors found this helpfulPoor designs ruins clothes Oh my goodness! I cannot believe the frustration level that I have reached! My Kenmore Elite dryer has ruined too many articles of clothing to count. I purchased this dryer to take better care of my clothing and it turns out to be the opposite outcome. Clothes that haven't even been worn, or maybe worn once, are ripped and shredded from being caught and tangled into knots on the lint trap. For some reason, the lint trap does not sit flush in its compartment. Therefore the front right corner sticks up causing items to get caught. Then the other items in turn get tangled around the trapped item and cause a wad of clothes to be all tangled up. Clothes have been damaged, ripped, and completely stretched out. As a family of 6, we cannot afford to be without a dryer or to have a dryer that continues to ruin numerous pieces of clothes. I have done some research, and there are a lot of people with the same issue. Buyer beware! by AngieLCDefiance, MO | Wed, Jul 3, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 2 visitors found this helpful nogo they do not last very long after 14 months i have to pay to repair it now it cost o lot money i will have to buy another dryer i do not recommend this dryer by nogoSan Diego, CA | Wed, Mar 20, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 3 visitors found this helpful Great Machine! Centennial® Electric Dryer w/ Wrinkle Control - White $448.20 42 visitors found this helpfulMaytag Centennial Electric Dryer Purchased Oct 2013. Works great. Quiet, fast and dependable so far. 90 minute Wrinkle Control really helps. The side open door is more convenient and easy to open and close after a little work to the latch. The top filter is so much easier to clean than the small one inside the drum. Really hope this dryer outperforms the matching washer. The washer has already broken but the dryer has been good. Our last dryer (Admiral/Maytag) was purchased in 1996 and worked until we bought this one. That's 17+ years! One can only dream of appliances lasting that long again. But we do have hope for this one. by jd4120, | Sat, Mar 8, 2014 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag read more

LP Conversion Kit available - 3302235 This product: Whirlpool 27" Laundry Center w/ Gas Dryer $1499.99 This product fits or need very well.Save space in laundry area. Our old washer died after many years of serviceIt was just the basic washer no frills but severed us well through the years while raising our children. With it only been two of us my wife and I we didn't need a large capacity washer or dryer this combo product fits our needs without question. Its compact size and being stacked allowed much more room in our laundry area.Itwas fairly priced and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. by ERBarnett, | Mon, Jan 13, 2014 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag This product has non-desired features The main problem with this design is twofold: 1. Not enough water is dispensed to soak the wash properly, should have a manual override, wich is currently automatic using a sensor system to control the water level. 2. The hot water is really not hot because cold water is interjected so the water is not hot enough to kill germs, again a manual override should be available, which should also allow for rinsing in other than cold water. The other complaint we have is that the washer is pretty noisy, other than that, it performs rather well, except again the rinsing is not very thourough due to insufficient water level. Dryer works fine. by JacobusAJu, | Thu, Jan 2, 2014 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 2 visitors found this helpfulOverall, the washer dryer performs well. The machine seems to work well. This being said, when I select "Hot" on the water temperature it never seems to be much more than warm when I've tested it by touch. by GaryS, | Thu, Nov 14, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 1 visitors found this helpfulGreat space saver but large enough for blankets, quilt etc. Happy with choice. I work with a team a plumbers and so they are constantly bringing back crawl suits and jackets just caked with mud and more, and this machine has no problem taking care of it. The only draw back is, some of the rocks and things washed off the clothes, is left at the bottom of the machine which requires a little more physical cleaning on our end, but most people aren't gonna be putting it through that much of a test. by Barnett780, | Tue, Nov 5, 2013 Was this helpful?YesNo 0 comments | flag 1 visitors found this helpfulThe product fits in our space. It's a little hard to see in washer when taking clothes out with the dryer above but i think this is true of all the combination machines. Washer is a bit loud when doing small or medium size loads but is very good when run on full size load. Washer does good job as far as cleaning clothes and the spin cycle works very well. It's the perfect size for area where we have it.
