Create Treats, Desserts, Sauces and More with the Kenmore Stainless Steel Stand Mixer Helping you to get just the perfect blend of... ingredients again and again, the 6 qt. Kenmore stainless bowl lift stand mixer simplifies the way you do prep work for... Heavy duty, looks to be well made but lack of accessories Purchased this for a Christmas gift which she loved. Read through the manual, it mentions quite a few accessories that can be utilized via the power shaft, after a difficult search using the Model # on the bottom which by the way is listed as Model #10089308 by Sears Parts, I determined that the mentioned can opener, slicer etc is not available from Sears. After some research, it appears this is made by KitchenAid and will use their attachments, again, no can opener, or slicer. This should be omitted from the user manual and the matching model# should be corrected to reflect the exact one via Sears Parts. I'll post another review regarding performance once we use it. I'd like to see Sears gain their market share back, and this will only be done by being thorough in product listings and addressing product issues head on. Come on Sears, we believe in you! The light in bowl is wonderful. It is extemely powerful but be warned this is a LARGE mixer. It fits under my counter with barely a 2 in clearance. I have had it a week and used it daily. It is a bit loud but not unexpected. The bowl lift is nice and is obviously necessary due to the weight and size of the mixer would make a top lift an issues. I am very happy about the fact it is make by Kitchenaid and comes with a longer warranty that similiar Kitchenaid products. It handles dough with ease. The motor is VERY powerful. I have even put through double batches and still the mixer didn't have any problem with having enough power to handle it. Negative issues: Although the mixer is large and heavy, on large dough runs the mixer bowl can jump and the mixer can walk on the counter. It doesn't beat eggs to peak well at all. The beater doesn't come close enough to the sides of the bowl with either bowl. I would recommend this product! The mixer was purchased over others specifically because it has a timer incorporated into it. The first machine we brought home had a faulty timer, did not work as described in the manual so we exchanged it. The second mixer's timer worked (barely), you have to mash the button about 30 times before the LEDs flash so that you can set the time. You would think since we had two bad ones that someone on the manufacturing and testing side would see this problem and fix it. A note to SEARS, nice mixer but fix the timer please!!! We liked the door handle instead of the push button door opener. The door is a little noisy when you open and close it but it will be installed in a cabinet so maybe it will be quieter when the trim kit is installed, but I really doubt that is going to make much difference. The operation is fine. It heats well and seems to be a little quieter than our old one when it is running. I do have an issue with the cook time operation. If you want to select any time other than whole minutes between 1 and 6 minutes you have to press the 'cook time' button first, then you can enter your time directly. if you press any button inside the box (1 -6 ) it starts up instantly and will run for that many minutes. That would be fine if you always are going to cook in whole minutes between 1 and 6. Not a big deal but just an extra step that that we almost always have to use and the whole minutes instant cook is something that we seldom use. The dimensions of the new microwave are almost identical to the old one so installation of the microwave and trim kit should be easy. But I'm still waiting for the trim kit to come in after sears seems to have lost the first one we ordered and had to reorder it. That was 30 yrs ago and it is still in perfect condition. My 20 yr old daughter got an apartment and wanted to take it with her. I told her no way!! So I got her one for Christmas.
