iGourmet Nomads Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Morocco
Nomads of Santa Fe creates, from their own specifications, a unique oil with hints of an aroma of mature bananas, red apples and red tomatoes. This oil combines with the balanced fruitiness of the Moroccan Picholine variety, with a hint of ...artichoke from the Dahbia autochthonous Moroccan variety, and then is softened by the Arbequina variety. This ultra-premium, extra virgin olive oil originates from an old centenary orchard in the beautiful flat land at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, where even Baron de Rothschild used to cultivate his olives. In this orchard of Marrakech, the 3,000 trees are mainly Picholine du Languedoc (of French origin) and native cultivars such as Picholine Marocaine, Dahbia, Menara, and Haouzia. Some of these old olive trees have a unique property: the same tree produces three or four different olive varieties including the Picholine du Languedoc. This almond shaped olive has a firm texture and a fresh taste profile. From this variety is produced the extra virgin olive oil that is Nomads of Santa Fe Olive Oil. Nomads of Santa Fe olive oil has a sweet and delicate style. Its well balanced taste and texture is perfect for many culinary applications, such as salads, meat and fish dishes, as well as pasta. This Moroccan olive oil is ideal for dipping, with your favorite bread. It may also be used for desserts, such as cakes and puddings. This oil is also delicious enough to drink as a health tonic, filled with polyphenals, and omegas which are considered cleansing and rejuvenating to the body for their anti-aging properties. Also important to Nomads of Santa Fe is a commitment to agricultural health, and sustainable agriculture. This production includes water conservations, state of the art equipment, and a dedication to a particular climate as well as the specifics of the land, all of which combine to gives Nomads olive oil an unmistakable taste. read more
