As the birthplace of America, New England is home to some of the countries oldest creameries. But that's not to say they've taken an old fashioned approach to cheese making. Each of the cheeses in our assortment have taken a traditional Eur...opean-style cheese and put their own unique stamp on the final product. This assortment includes: Vermont: Crowley Cheese An American original since 1882. Made in Vermont from unpasteurized cow's milk, Crowley Cheese is neither as dry nor nearly as acidic as cheddar. When compared with traditional cheddar, Crowley Cheese has a smoother, some say "creamier" taste. (8 oz) Maryland: Merry Goat Round by FireFly Farms: Merry Goat Round is Firefly's playful approach to a goat's milk Brie. While it resembles a mini-Brie from the outside, its texture is slightly firmer and its taste has a sharpness not found in Brie or Camembert. (10 oz) New York: Green Peppercorn Cone by Coach Farm: Coated in a bloomy edible white rind, this cone-shaped goat cheese is aged only for a few weeks--just enough to develop a delicious creamy flavor. It is dotted with green peppercorns that impart a peppery flavor to the cheese. (4 oz) Massachusetts: Chocolate Capri Log by Westfield Farm: Rich and creamy with a slightly goaty tang, be forewarned, these five ounce logs are addictive.
