If you're heading off to college, renting a small studio space, remodeling the kitchen, or just love grilled cheese, the Meal Maker Sandwich Toaster is a great stand-in for a full stovetop. This sandwich toaster not only makes fancy panini-...style grilled sandwiches in minutes, but also batter-based items, such as pancakes or omelets, as well as turnovers or French toast. An indicator light turns on when it's ready to cook, and another indicator lets you know when your meal is ready. Once you've placed a sandwich or other items into the toaster, the cover latches shut to keep batter in place or sandwich edges crimped. The nonstick grilling surface wipes clean with a damp sponge or paper towel, and the sandwich toaster can be stored either horizontally or vertically, depending on space limitations.
