What We Like About the Oslo Bird Bath Make sure birds can enjoy a refreshing dip on hot summer days with the charming Oslo Bird Ba...th. A stylish curved bowl with 18-inch diameter easily accommodates multiple birds. Available in an array of natural finishes to match any outdoor setting. About Campania International Established in 1984, Campania International's reputation has been built on quality original products and service. Originally selling terra cotta planters, Campania soon began to research and develop the design and manufacture of cast stone garden planters and ornaments. Campania is also an importer and wholesaler of garden products, including polyethylene, terra cotta, glazed pottery, cast iron, and fiberglass planters as well as classic garden structures, fountains, and cast resin statuary. Campania Cast Stone: The Process The creation of Campania's cast stone pieces begins and ends by hand. From the creation of an original design, making of a mold, pouring the cast stone, application of the patina to the final packing of an order, the process is both technical and artistic. As many as 30 pairs of hands are involved in the creation of each Campania piece in a labor intensive 15 step process. The process begins either with the creation of an original copyrighted design by Campania's artisans or an antique original. Antique originals will often require some restoration work, which is also done in-house by expert craftsmen. Campania's mold making department will then begin a multi-step process to create a production mold which will properly replicate the detail and texture of the original piece. Depending on its size and complexity, a mold can take as long as three months to complete. Campania creates in excess of 700 molds per year. After a mold is completed, it is moved to the production area where a team individually hand pours the liquid cast stone mixture into the mold and employs special techniques to remove air bubbles. Campania carefully monitors the PSI of every piece. PSI (pounds per square inch) measures the strength of every piece to ensure durability. The PSI of Campania pieces is currently engineered at approximately 7500 for optimum strength. Each piece is air-dried and then de-molded by hand. After an internal quality check, pieces are sent to a finishing department where seams are ground and any air holes caused by the pouring process are filled and smoothed. Pieces are then placed on a pallet for stocking in the warehouse. All Campania pieces are produced and stocked in natural cast stone. When a customer's order is placed, pieces are pulled and unless a piece is requested in natural cast stone, it is finished in a unique patinas. All patinas are applied by hand in a multi-step process; some patinas require three separate color applications. A finisher's skill in applying the patina and wiping away any excess to highlight detail requires not only technical skill, but also true artistic sensibility. Every Campania piece becomes a unique and original work of garden art as a result. After the patina is dry, the piece is then quality inspected. All pieces of a customer's order are batched and checked for completeness. A two-person packing team will then pack the order by hand into gaylord boxes on pallets. The packing material used is excelsior, a natural wood product that has no chemical additives and may be recycled as display material, repacking customer orders, mulch,or even bedding for animals. This exhaustive process ensures that Campania will remain a popular and beloved choice when it comes to garden decor. Please note this product does not ship to Pennsylvania. read more

This Milan Bird Bath makes a great ornamental piece for the garden or as a patio accent. This bird bath is crafted of sturdy yet l...ightweight resin, with a realistic look. Its 8-inch base supports 14-inch diameter bowl. Wide lip and gentle slope invites birds to land. Medium bathing depth will make them stay. The item above is shown in Moss. This handcrafted birdbath is cast in a resin composition that will not expand and contract the way concrete or terra cotta will. This material is strong and weather-resistant, but it's also lightweight, which makes for easy placement in your garden. The non-porous marble resin does not absorb moisture, which makes the birdbath well-suited for outdoor use all year round. This traditional birdbath is individually handcrafted in the USA. About Craft-Tex/Ladybug Craft-Tex and Ladybug are special product lines produced by Concept Plastics, Inc. Concept Plastics is America's premier maker of fine furniture and decorative resin castings. Established in 1970 in High Point, N.C., Concept Plastics uses extremely accurate molding techniques, exceptional craftsmanship in casting, and artisan skills in hand finishing. The Craft-Tex and Ladybug lines offer a wide variety of products for the home, office, and garden, including birdbaths, fountains, statues, planters, bookends, and decorative wall decor. read more

Burley Clay
$89.99 $139.99

Feature a fabulous water display in your yard with a Burley Clay Zanesville Glazed Cobalt Blue Bird Bath. This gorgeous bird bath ...is made from quality ceramic stoneware and is fully glazed for added durability. The attractive Zanesville design comes in a Cobalt Blue color. The pedestal-style top has a bathing depth of 3.5 inches. This style has an interlocking top to the pedestal base. Special Note: The ideal bathing depth is 1.5 to 2 inches. You can simply fill the bath with 1.5 to 2 inches of water, or you can take the decorative approach and use polished stones or similar items to raise the water level while keeping the bird safe. About Burley Clay Located in Roseville, Ohio, Burley Clay Products has manufactured garden pottery and bird baths since 1933. Proudly designed by craftsmen in a range of styles, from traditional to modern and sophisticated, Burley's planters are produced using reliable methods spanning from high-tech hydraulics to age-old handmade molding. The key to their quality lies in the fact that at Burley Clay, the artisans understand their materials as well as the needs of their customers; the result is high-quality, long-lasting planters that stand the tests of time and weather. Burley Clay planters are proudly made in America and sold across the United States and Canada. A Note About Burley Clay's Unique Process Burley Clay uses several different production methods to produce their stoneware. From high-tech hydraulic and ram presses to the craftsmanship required in jiggering and casting, their production methods differ significantly but share certain features - an emphasis on quality, efficiency, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Certain production methods require thicker, more solid clay, while others demand a thinner, more liquid consistency. The processes carefully clean and mix the clay blend at a perfect consistency specific to each production method. One of the methods Burley Clay employs today is a rarely found "lost art" form known as jiggering. It's an old-fashioned, hand-made process used to create several of their larger items, such as birdbaths, pedestals, and planters. In this process, the jiggerman places a plaster mold inside a spinning steel drum, then adds an estimated amount of clay inside of the mold determined by the size of the piece to be manufactured. As the clay begins to dry, the plaster mold draws the water away from the clay, releasing the clay from the mold. The ware is then removed from the mold and the rough edges are trimmed. This acquired skill requires years of apprenticeship and is usually passed down to family members who have worked in area potteries for generations. read more

Beautifully designed from cast stone, the Galway Bird Bath is a combination of simple elegance and lasting function. The round 18....5-inch-diameter bowl easily accommodates multiple birds and is supported on a carved pedestal with stylish flared base. The hand-applied, multi-step finish replicates the look of natural aging and comes in a choice of patinas to complement your outdoor decor. Recommended care: Proper maintenance is recommended to protect this product from the freeze-thaw cycles that occur in winter. Do not leave the bird bath top outside in winter, because once the top fills with water/snow and freezes, the top may crack. The bird bath base should be raised up off the ground in winter so it will not freeze to the ground surface. Please note this product does not ship to Pennsylvania. read more

The birds will love it, and so will you! Draw your feathered friends to your garden with the Acorn Bird Bath Fountain, which featu...res a classic pedestal design and a wide variety of handsome finish options. Birds of a feather love sunny weather so cool them off with a Burley Clay Hand Painted Finch Bird Bath. This quality ceramic stone...ware bird bath features a traditional pedestal design with a glazed interior top. There is a 2.5-inch bathing depth to accommodate most birds, and the base is hand painted in an attractive finch design. This acquired skill requires years of apprenticeship and is usually passed down to family members who have worked in area potteries for generations. read more

Please note this product does not ship to Pennsylvania. read more

Burley Clay

Cool off your feathered friends with a Burley Clay Hand Painted Lavender Bird Bath. This lovely pool is made from quality ceramic ...stoneware and features a hand-painted lavender design. The traditional pedestal design offers a top with a 3.5-inch bathing depth. Lavender symbolized devotion and loyalty in Victorian times. Today it is valued for its many medicinal, cosmetic, culinary, and household uses. Artist Pam Ballard's fondness for the lavender plant shows in the detailed design of Burley's Lavender birdbaths and planters. This acquired skill requires years of apprenticeship and is usually passed down to family members who have worked in area potteries for generations. read more

Make your flower garden a peaceful resting place for bathing birds. The Fluted Birdbath is a classically styled bird bath made of ...durable, marble-filled resin. The wide bowl and pedestal feature a classic fluted pattern that will enhance the beauty of your garden landscape. The birdbath's antique textured finish resembles an aged stone bath you might find in a European garden. This handcrafted birdbath is cast in a crushed marble-resin composition that will not expand and contract the way concrete or terra cotta will. The Craft-Tex and Ladybug lines offer a wide variety of products for the home, office, and garden, including birdbaths, fountains, statues, planters, bookends, and decorative wall decor. read more

About Campania International Established in 1984, Campania International's reputation has been built on quality original products ...and service.
