Eureka Eureka Floribunda Rose

This 2003 AARS award winner is an excellent choice for spreading color through the landscape or among perennial plantings. It sets large clusters of 4-inch, apricot to apricot-copper blossoms that spiral open from lovely pointed, ovoid buds.... And the blooms hold their eye-catching hue to the very end of the season. Eureka? shows exceptional vigor and disease resistance, and although its light, fresh fragrance is not significant, its color is unbeatable, especially when planted in groups for maximum impact! The plant itself is healthy and attractive even when not adorned with the uniquely colored blooms. Reaching a mature size of 3 feet high and 2 to 3 feet wide, it boasts glossy, dark green foliage. And its compact size makes it ideal for everything from beds and borders to patio containers. Its a must-have for the cut garden as well--the fantastic apricot-coppery shade of the blooms is fantastic in bouquets. Eureka? is a true gem! Plant in well-drained soil in full sun. Spring pruning is recommended. Old and dead wood should be removed and canes that cross need to be cut back. Gardeners in warmer climates should cut back the remaining canes by about one-third, while those in colder areas will probably want to prune a little more than that. read more
