Emile Henry Flame-Top ceramic cookware is light and versatile, an innovative breakthrough in ceramics technology. Our new line of... Burgundy Clay Flame-Top ceramics products work directly on a gas flame or an electric or halogen hob without a diffuser, without any fear of cracking or breaking. Much lighter, (30% lighter), than many types of comparable metal cookware products, Flame-Top is microwave and dishwasher-safe, cleans up very easily, is extremely strong and durable, goes under the broiler, and can go directly from a freezer or a refrigerator to a hot oven to the table, where it will retain the cooking heat for a very long time. Unlike most metal cookware products, Flame-Top cookware can sit on a very hot open flame for an extended period of time without any ingredients in the cook pot, and they will not crack, discolor or break. Perfect for braising, browning and slow cooking due to the incredibly gentle heat distribution properties of Burgundy Clay, Flame-Top products cook evenly and thoroughly when used on top of the stove, in the oven or even in the microwave. Enhancing this gentle cooking action are raised dots on the underneath side of each lid that evenly distribute evaporated juices directly back into the cooking food. This self-basting technique produces a more thoroughly cooked, tender and moist dish than with traditional lids, which force liquids to run down the sides of the pot, and which contribute to even cooking. Emile Henry Flame-Top ceramic cookware is light and versatile, and better brings out the flavors of all cooked foods. read more

A new line in 2012 for a new trend: natural, refined cooking on the barbeque. Our new bbq ceramic has been designed to grill your ...meat in a healthier way and for cooking more delicate ingredients such as fish, seafood or vegetables. Extremely resistant to heat, our bbq ceramic can reach 500c/930f. It heats much as cast iron, but diffuses the heat more gently so the ingredients do not burn as quickly. Thanks to its solid surface, our bbq products do not let the fat drip on the hot embers, creating toxic fumes. The result is slow, healthy cooking without any additional fat, which preserves the nutritional qualities and vitamins in the food. Emile Henry bbq products are designed to be used directly on a gas or charcoal barbeque. Closing the lid of your barbeque when cooking with the pizza stone will result in a perfectly cooked pizza with crispy base. Our bbq ceramic is extremely resistant and can reach temperatures up to 500c/932f. For use all year round, our products made from bbq ceramic are also designed for use in the oven. All items in the bbq range can be put in the freezer at a temperature of -20c/-4f and are highly resistant to thermal shocks; you can therefore take your dish directly from the freezer to the hot oven. Our bbq ceramic is not designed for direct use on the heat, for example gas, electric or ceramic hobs or on induction. Thanks to the highly resistant glaze, our flame products allow you to cut and serve directly in the dish. We advise you to serve your flame dish directly on the table, as it will keep the heat for longer thanks to the refractory properties of our ceramic. Our flame products are designed to be cleaned in the dishwasher. In the case of any burnt on food, fill the dish with a mixture of white vinegar and hot water and bring to the boil before cleaning. Each Emile Henry product is made in France and includes a 10 year warranty. read more
