Jon Gasca's Malena Armchair (1997) has character and detail that stand out from every angle. Two sweeping back legs frame a distinctive ladder back, which lightens the normally heavy form of many leather upholstered club chairs. The solid b...eech wood frame is available in an assortment of wood stains, and the graceful curve of the back slats provides excellent lumbar support. The seat and back cushions follow the contours of the chair and are upholstered in supple, but durable, semi-aniline leather. Two or more Malena chairs arranged side by side create a theater seating effect. Aluminum trim finishes each leg; two discreet rubber casters on the front legs provide mobility.
