Convenient for small gatherings or as a supplement to a whole turkey for a large family that likes white meat, this turkey breast is from the same farm that raises our certified-organic free-range turkeys. Our turkeys are raised on a diet o...f nothing but 100% whole organic grains and pure spring water, with no protein supplements, added poultry or fish by-products, pesticides or herbicides. Additionally no antibiotics, growth hormones or arsenicals are administered and the birds benefit from an environment that never uses artificial light. Adherence to these principles led to the first approval by the USDA for free-range labeling, as well as to Organic Certification in 1990 by the Northeast Organic Farming Association. The result is a delightfully moist turkey with superb flavor, tender texture and 25% less fat than standard, commercially-raised turkeys. You'll be proud to put this turkey breast on your table. Our certified organic bone-in turkey breast is available in two-pound size increments, starting at 4-6 pounds and ranging to 8-10 pounds. Fresh organic turkey breast is available seasonally for pre-order during the holidays in November and December. Frozen organic turkey breast may be available during other times of the year. Cooking your D'Artagnan turkey Keep in mind that depending on several factors, including: size of bird, oven calibration, type of cookware used, recipe variations, and method of cooking, time and temperature will vary. If you prefer to have no leftovers, we recommend that you estimate 1-1.25 pounds per person to determine the size of turkey breast you will need. (For example, 8-10 pounds will yield 6-8 servings).
