Self-adjusting slots accommodate thickness and texture of bagels. Separate reheat push-button control heats toast without additional browning, or increases heat on only one side of the slot when toasting bagels. This "leverless" toaster ensures perfect timing and shade, with high-visibility LCD countdown displaying level of toasting remaining on the blue backlit screen, and audible alert. With independent indicator lights for bagel, defrost and reheat buttons, function in progress is easy to view. The 4-slice Cuisinart countdown toaster features independent electronic controls to toast thin bread and bagel slices precisely at once. This toaster with defrost setting thaws, then automatically toasts frozen bread, waffles or pastries, according to the shade level selected. Cancel button stops the toasting process at any time.
