The Artemide Tolomeo Mega Wall Light provides two types of bright illumination: diffused for overall ambience and direct (adjustable) downlight to aid in the accomplishment of reading and other tasks. The Tolomeo Mega Wall Light was designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina in 2003. The original Tolomeo design received the Compasso d'Oro award in 1989. Since 1959, Artemide has created a wide array of modern table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces and suspensions. Technologically advanced, and with styles ranging from clean and refined to sculptural and avant garde, many Artemide designs--especially the Tolomeo and Tizio--have become icons of contemporary lighting design.
