I've been staging homes for sale for 15 years. So I know a thing or two about how to make a room look its best. I just love this room. Now, I'm going to show you some simple tricks to transform your living space from boring to beautiful. This is Arrange My Space. [MUSIC] Today I'm gonna be talking about transforming this space into a more livable area. It's just a huge room. We've got two conversation areas, which is kinda ridiculous. So we really need to make something a little bit more cohesive. And it needs to flow better. There's way too much furniture in this space. It's a very tight flow. We can't even get to that table over there. The sofa is not looking at the windows, so they don't see the beautiful view outside. We've got these two great big huge club chairs, but they're in the middle of the room. You sort of have to side step around Over here, we've got art on every single wall. It's just too much. And the two chairs near the fireplace. If they were any closer, they'd probably burn up. We're going to use the client's own furniture to make the space a lot more functional. [SOUND] Oh that's teamwork. We're gonna take these chairs away cuz they're just too big in the room. Les, go ahead and put this sofa right here. Right, leave it right there, perfect. We're gonna put that right over here. [MUSIC] It's most important to have a grouping of furniture. It doesn't necessarily have to be centered around the fire place. [MUSIC] Let's bring in the dining table. It's starting to look great. And let's bring in those chairs. [MUSIC] So I've opened up the area and now I've got to add some punch to it. We don't want too much art on the wall because we want you to focus on the space. [MUSIC] A few more accessories and this room is complete. [MUSIC] It's a dual purpose room now. We have opened up the space. We put down the seating area down at this end. But also, somebody can sit here and they can kind of eat, they can play a game, they can also work on their Computer. I think that the room is a lot more gracious. We've removed the pictures on the wall, so that you could actually focus on the comfort of the room. The flow is really good up to the fireplace, flow was still good out to the terrace. Hello Come and visit. How are you? Let's have cocktails. Now you just feel kind of warm and cozy. It's just a lot more fun this space. [LAUGH] I just love this room. I think this is just so great. [BLANK_AUDIO]
