[MUSIC] I've been staging homes for sale for 15 years. So I know a thing or 2 about how to make a room make it look its best. I just love this room. Now I'm going to show you some simple tricks, to transform your living space from boring to beautiful. This is Arrange my Space. [MUSIC] Our challenge today is a small budget. We've just got $300 to make this a dream bedroom, really romantic, very luxurious. So how do we do that? The basic elements of design are walls, floors, and light. So our walls look pretty good, so we're really not gonna put our money in there. Now, the floors are okay, the rug is sort of outdated. We're gonna start with our rug and then we're gonna build off of that. Now we've got this wonderful big picture window here which also adds a lot of light. If we just put curtains on the side, they're gonna soften the room And then they're also gonna add luxury. We've got a light over here on the chest of drawers, but it's got a very old lampshade on it. It's not contemporary, it's not updated. So we might use some of our money to do an updated lampshade. So, now we've gotta make the transition. Out with the old, in with the new. [MUSIC] I think we ought to take this off. [MUSIC] This bed is the biggest part of the room. We needed to flip it to make more space. [MUSIC] My mother always told me that if I made my bed every day the room would always look neat. Neat and tidy. [MUSIC] So we're gonna have a nice, cozy rug in order to expand the room. [MUSIC] Don't you think that's fabulous? We're gonna accent with navy blue and this yellow. [MUSIC] These are called drum shades. They're more up to date. They're more contemporary. [MUSIC] Hey! Okay! I did it! [MUSIC] So how pretty is that? Very simple. [MUSIC] It's been a long day, but the transformation is finally complete. So, I'm just pleased as punch. And in this case we started with the rug. Rugs are very interesting. They definitely warm up a space. We brought in the green lamp. We brought in the blue chair from some other place in the house. So go rob your house. Now, one other thing that you might notice is that we did change the bed position. We have a larger path now to the windows. We used their duvee, and we just simply got a new duvee cover. It's just plain white, very affordable. We got these four accent pillows, but then we used just a simple little blue throw down here. And another throw to pick up the yellow. The side panels, the curtains, they just give a little softness to the room. We were also able to flank the bed with matching lamps. So, that gave us lighting, it bounces off. We've got here, we've got there, and we've got here. So, that's our triangle of light worked out perfectly. And then the last thing, probably the biggest expenditure that. That we made with the mirror. It just brings it all together. Just gives it that zazz gives it that wow factor. I mean, isn't this just a wonderful room? I think it looks happy. [MUSIC] [BLANK_AUDIO]
