Stewing meat will make it
melt in your mouth.
Stewing simply means cooking food in liquid in a covered pot for a long time. You can stew meats either on the range top or in the oven. The long, slow, moist cooking softens the tough fibers of the meat, making it tender, juicy, and delicious.
Naturally tender cuts, such as most steaks, however, don't require this sort of cooking. That's why they often are grilled, broiled, or pan-fried for a short period of time.
