- Lentil and Sausage Soup (see recipe below)
- Rye, Tomato, and Swiss Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
- Green Salad with Crunchy Toppings
- Lemon Pound Cake
Lentil and Sausage Soup is another quick soup that packs a lot of flavor into a small bowl -- it's the sausage that makes it so good. Served with Rye, Tomato, and Swiss Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Green Salad with Crunchy Toppings, and Lemon Pound Cake, it's a hearty meal. A can of fried onions is a great item to keep in the pantry: You never know when you need some crunch on a soup or salad.
Make grilled cheese sandwiches with rye bread, sliced Swiss, and tomatoes.
Toss greens with your favorite dressing and then add a crunchy topping: Try salted soy nuts or canned fried onions. To make fried onions even crispier, place them on a plate and microwave for 40 seconds before topping salad.
Slice and toast pound cake. Drizzle with warm lemon curd.
