- Spread the tortilla with room-temperature herbed or regular cream cheese -- it keeps the ingredients in place and the tortilla from splitting.
- Line the wrap with fresh whole-leaf lettuce leaves, such as red leaf, romaine, or Bibb, to contain any dressing and to keep the tortilla from getting soggy.
- Top lettuce with sliced turkey breast or ham. Choose smoked varieties for richer flavor.
- Toss red bell peppers (cut into thin, long strips) and shredded carrots in balsamic vinaigrette to enhance their natural flavors. Season them with cracked black pepper and sea salt, and spread them on top of the meat.
