French Dip Sandwiches Dinner

Make weeknight dinner fast and easy. Here's a main course recipe and three suggestions for rounding it out into a complete meal. Find out how to effortlessly dress up starters, sides, and desserts to fit the meal's main course.

The Menu

French Dip Sandwiches are a snap with thinly sliced deli roast beef. Turn one recipe into a real coffee shop-style menu by adding Onion-Tomato Soup, Tri-Color Salad, and Sugar Cookie Sandwiches. So many meals in coffee shops and diners come with soup or salad -- here you get both! All are so easy with pre-prepped food: Canned soup and onions, a bag of salad, and bakery cookies if you wish.

Tri-Color Salad

Toss iceberg lettuce, sliced radicchio, and slivers of yellow pepper with your favorite dressing.

Onion-Tomato Soup

Spread canned fried onion rings on a plate and microwave 45 seconds to crisp. Top hot tomato soup with onions.

Sugar Cookie Sandwiches

Fill sugar cookies with softened chocolate swirl ice cream. Refreeze to serve.
