I tried the Tuscan Potato Bake recipe, as my husband is Italian and I thought we'd like it. It was horrible. Too many cheese flavors, and too much garlic. Not at all impressed with that recipe.
1/17/2012 11:07:14 AM Report AbuseI"m searching for a recipe I used for twelve years in East Africa, to universal acclaim: from a vintage BHG cookbook from the late fifties, early sixties: it was called "Elegant Cheesecake." It was easy to prepare and divine to eat. BHG archives don't seem to be able to retrieve it. Please help! Patricia.
1/3/2012 03:51:04 PM Report AbuseThe new, improved website is wonderful...recipes come up much faster and saves a lot of time. Thank you!
12/3/2011 01:36:09 PM Report AbuseThis is actually a very good site. It's easy to navigate and it's very informative. Anyone who will just take the time to pay attention to what they're reading should have zero problems here.
11/29/2011 05:13:56 AM Report AbuseI don't know the reason why some people are complaining for this or that ! I find the site a very good one, nice pictures and very enlighting instructions. Some recipes are very good, some aren't - according to my tastes- . However, when some recipe seems to be attractive and interesting, I look for the stars,( right side, under the name of the recipe) and the comments. If many people have commented and given more than 4 stars to a recipe, then I guess it's a good one, worth trying it !
11/28/2011 11:31:01 PM Report AbuseIt seems people will complain about anything.. If you dont like how the site navigates close the window and go elsewhere. Its that easy. There are ways to not be aggravated. If you dont like pop ups put a pop up blocker on. I have one and dont get a single pop up. The pictures of recipes are made by food stylists. The items you make at home at likely not going to look like the picture on the site. I go by ingredients and title and picture is secondary but thats just me.
11/28/2011 05:11:36 PM Report AbuseThere are little arrows on the sides of the one recipe that comes up. Click to get the next, the next, the next.
11/28/2011 03:27:02 PM Report AbuseYou guys are a bunch of self-entitled, whiners. Be grateful that BHG is trying to help you to make your house a home.
11/23/2011 02:19:28 PM Report AbuseToo many popups on this site.
10/29/2011 11:50:33 AM Report AbuseI get linked to here and then can't find what I was looking for. Why give a link only to make people search for something (and not knowing where to search?)
10/27/2011 12:26:27 PM Report AbuseYou missed my family's all-time favorite! It's the Tortilla-Black Bean Casserole. We've made it at least 15 times since the recipe came out in the 90s - always to kudos from those who appreciate a 'made-from-scratch' casserole. Little do they know how quick it is to put together. There have been many imitations published since this recipe came out, but the BHG Tortilla-Black Bean Casserole is THE ORIGINAL. It belongs in this list. www.bhg.com/recipe/beans/tortilla-black-bean-casserole/
10/22/2011 11:09:20 PM Report AbuseIt's me again....sorry, I didn't realize you have to actually go elsewhere to find the recipe. Not quick!
10/12/2011 09:19:11 AM Report AbuseWhy does the picture of this "Speedy Lasagna Casserole" not look the way the recipe has you put it together. It should have a layer of cottage cheese mixed with egg and parm on top along with a layer of mozzarella on top. Obviously no layers of cheese on top. I find this to be happening more and more with these recipes.
10/11/2011 08:11:08 PM Report AbuseI don't see protein listed in any of these recipes?
10/11/2011 07:44:48 PM Report AbuseI find it interesting that negative reviews have a way of disappearing. As I stated earlier, this recipe was horrible. A waste of money and time. I am not a novice cook and I followed the recipe exactly. This recipe needs a lot of help to make it palatable. Proceed at your own risk.
10/3/2011 03:36:01 PM Report AbuseHave same problems as above with reicpes not showing up after clicking, cant copy, format not working etc...... Please fix it for us!!
9/24/2011 09:11:58 AM Report AbuseWhen you go the the category of your choice it doesn't go there,it goes on some other tangent. WASTING MY TIme!!!!!!!!!
9/21/2011 06:49:36 AM Report AbuseI went to the casseroles and nothing show up. It happens everytime I go to open up receipes etc.
9/20/2011 07:39:14 PM Report AbuseTry taco seasoning with the meat...that should spice it up some!
9/20/2011 01:39:16 PM Report AbuseI have a better homes & garden cookbook from 1971, I loved the recipe from it for banana cake, but I gave the book to my daughter, so is this banana bread recipe the same as the banana cake recikpe?
9/18/2011 08:35:47 AM Report AbuseI do not like the new format! I want to see the rating and the comments like it used to be. The comments had some good suggestions and sometimes made the difference as it if I printed it and tried it or not! Sometimes there would be a recipe that was questionable and the comments were so positive I tried it anyway and was pleased! The new format seems less friendly!
9/9/2011 07:15:43 PM Report AbuseLooking good! The new site and the food.
7/8/2011 01:49:05 AM Report Abuseit's really great choice to make a change with lot of healthy recipes & better ideas ... thanks. nurunnaharshireen@yahoo.com

7/6/2010 07:18:18 PM Report AbuseI like the recipes the only thing i think that needs improvement is that i think the recipes should say how many you are getting out of them. There is times when i need to double the recipes depending who is eating at the house that day.
