Caramel Apples: 10 to Try
Creative toppings put a sweet spin on this juicy fall fruit. Start with a basic caramel apple then sprinkle on one of these irresistible combinations.

To make enough caramel for 8 apples:
-- Unwrap two 14-ounce packages of vanilla caramels.
-- Melt in a small saucepan over low heat with 2 tablespoons of water; stirring frequently.
-- Dip apple in hot caramel, spooning caramel over the apple.
-- Cool 30 minutes on buttered foil.
Dip in: Red cinnamon candies
Dip in: Peanuts, salted or honey roasted
Dip in: White chocolate (melted)
Dip in: Banana chips, drizzle of smooth peanut butter
Dip in: Milk and dark chocolates (melted)
Dip in: Chopped pecans (toasted), shaved coconut (toasted)
Dip in: Apple pie spice or chili powder (dusting)
Dip in: Granola cereal, candy-coated milk chocolate pieces
Dip in: Orange zest (coarsely shredded), drizzle of honey
