1. In a small bowl combine cherry preserves and, if desired, 1 tablespoon cherry-flavored brandy. Spread 1 tablespoon of the cherry mixture on each of 10 to 12 cookies; set aside. In a medium bowl combine chocolate frosting and 1 tablespoon cherry-flavored brandy. Spoon frosting into a decorating bag fitted with a large round tip. Pipe frosting in concentric circles to cover each cookie. If desired, top each cookie with a maraschino cherry.
