Alfredo Green Beans

Alfredo Green Beans
Ingredients
  •  Nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 9  ounce packages  frozen cut green beans or one 20-ounce package (about 5 cups)
  • 1 1/2  cups  chopped red sweet pepper (2 medium)
  • 1 10  ounce container  refrigerated light Alfredo sauce
  • 1  cup  chopped onion (1 large)
  • 1 8  ounce can  sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/4  teaspoon  garlic salt
  • 1/2  cup  Parmesan-flavored croutons, slightly crushed (optional)
Directions

1. Lightly coat the inside of a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine green beans, sweet pepper, Alfredo sauce, onion, water chestnuts, and garlic salt. Spoon bean mixture into the prepared slow cooker.

2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Serve with a slotted spoon. If desired, sprinkle each serving with crushed croutons.
