1. In a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker, stir together chocolate, the 10 ounces marshmallows, and half-and-half.
2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring once during cooking. Whisk until mixture is smooth.
3. Serve immediately or keep warm, covered, on warm-heat or low-heat setting for up to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve fondue with dippers, swirling pieces as you dip.
