Festive Kwanzaa Slaw

Festive Kwanzaa Slaw
Ingredients
  • 6  cups  packaged shredded cabbage with carrot (coleslaw mix)
  • 1  cup  sliced celery
  • 1  cup  chopped red, green, and/or yellow sweet pepper
  • 1/2  cup  bottled Italian salad dressing
  • 1 - 2  tablespoons  brown sugar
  • 1 1/2  teaspoons  celery seed
Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl combine cabbage, celery, and sweet pepper; toss lightly to mix. In a small mixing bowl or glass measure stir together salad dressing, sugar, and celery seed. Add salad dressing mixture to cabbage mixture, tossing to coat. Cover and chill for 1 to 2 hours. Toss again just before serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
