Storing and Freezing Pasta

Here are some tips to keep your pasta fresh.

  • Store dried, uncooked pasta unopened in its original package or in a sealed storage bag in a cool, dry place. It will last almost indefinitely.
  • Store fresh or refrigerated pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days or in the freezer up to eight months.
  • Pasta will continue to absorb flavors and oils from sauces, so store cooked pasta and sauce separately.
