Roasting an 8-Pound Turkey
For a whole, unstuffed turkey weighing between 8 and 12 pounds, roast 325 degrees F for 2 hours and 45 minutes to 3 hours. Stuffed birds generally require 15 to 45 minutes more roasting time than unstuffed birds. Always verify the doneness temperatures of poultry and center of stuffing with a meat thermometer -- when inserted into the center of the bird, it should read 165 degrees F.
