Storing Pasta

Proper storage allows you to reuse leftover pasta.

Dried uncooked pasta: Keeps indefinitely if kept in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Refrigerated fresh pasta: Keeps up to five days if kept in its original packaging. If frozen, it will keep up to eight months.

Cooked pasta: Can be kept refrigerated for one to two days if it is sealed in an airtight container. Reheat the pasta in a sauce or clear broth.

Note: Freezing prepared pasta dishes is not recommended because the pasta will become soft and mushy once it's thawed and baked.
