Canned salmon may be one of the wonders of modern civilization. With it, you can make Salmon Patties, a quick and convenient weeknight entree that can be dressed up easily. Salmon Patties recipe

Stir shredded cucumber into plain yogurt with mashed garlic to taste. Add chopped dill if desired.

Cook chunks of red potatoes with skins on. Drain and gently toss with chopped fresh basil and butter, and season to taste.

Stir melted butter and finely chopped toasted walnuts into steamed broccoli. Season to taste.
