French Souffle Dinner

Make weeknight dinner fast and easy. Here's a main course recipe and three suggestions for rounding it out into a complete meal. Find out how to effortlessly dress up starters, sides, and desserts to fit the meal's main course.

The Menu

A souffle may sound complicated and fancy, but it really isn't. This Cheese Souffle will convince you of how easy it is. It bakes for 40 minutes -- more than enough time to whip up a Spinach and Mushroom Salad, Prosciutto and Tomato Crostini, and Chocolate Cake (from a bakery, of course).

Cheese Souffle

Spinach and Mushroom Salad

Toss baby spinach and thinly sliced mushrooms with toasted sliced almonds and minced shallot. Dress with a light vinaigrette.

Prosciutto and Tomato Crostini

Rub toasted crusty bread with a garlic clove, then spread with a thin coat of sun-dried tomato pesto. Top with thin sliced prosciutto.

Chocolate Cake

Try a frozen chocolate mousse cake or anything that looks good from a bakery.
