I was looking for a recipe for Cherry pies and I got 700 recipes for everything. I have an old BH&G cook book. I bought a jar of cherries in the recipe it says to add 1/4 cup of flour,1 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, cook over medium heat til thick, cook i min longer. It never thicken and I finally added it the cherries as soup. Could you please tell me what I did wrong. It's the Old fashioned cherry pie.
