Marbled Chocolate
These pretty marbled chocolates make the perfect garnish for a dessert -- or just eat them as is!
Take a look at these tips for creating Marbled Chocolates:
1. Melt 4 ounces chopped vanilla-flavor candy coating and 2 teaspoons shortening in a small heavy saucepan. In another saucepan, melt 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate pieces and 2 teaspoons shortening.
2. Dollop candy coating on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Drizzle chocolate over candy coating. Cool slightly. Run a knife or spatula through the mixture to marble. Do not overmix.
3. Chill about 10 minutes or until almost set. Use small cutters to make cutouts. Use at once or place a single layer on paper towels in a storage container. Cover; store at room temperature or chill.
