- Maryland Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy (see recipe below)
- Crudites and Scallion Dip
- Garlic Mashed Potatoes
- Hot Bacon Green Beans
Maryland Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy is fried and then simmered in milk, making the drippings for the gravy. Add Crudites and Scallion Dip, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Hot Bacon Green Beans to have a true Sunday dinner any night of the week. Buying containers of mashed potatoes and dip shortens prep time considerably.
Stir thinly sliced scallion into a container of dip. Any prepared dip will do, but vegetable or onion flavor will be best.
Look for garlic potatoes in the produce or meat section. If all you find is plain, smash a few cloves of garlic in a garlic press, add 2 Tbs. olive oil, and microwave 30-60 seconds. Then stir into hot potatoes.
Steam fresh or frozen green beans. In small pan, cook three or four slices of bacon; drain and reserve 1 tsp. of bacon grease. Chop bacon and toss with green beans and reserved grease.
