Pear Loaf
Ingredients

    cup milk
  • 1/3
    cup apple juice or pear nectar
  • 3/4
    cup chopped peeled pears
  • 4
    teaspoons margarine or butter
  • 3
    cups bread flour
  • 2
    tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3/4
    teaspoon salt
  • 1/2
    teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel
  • 1
    teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
  • 1/3
    cup chopped almonds, toasted
Directions

Add the ingredients to a 1-1/2- or 2-pound bread machine according to the manufacturer's directions, adding the pear with the liquid. Select the basic white bread cycle and desired color setting. Makes one 1-1/2-pound loaf (16 slices).
