Caramelized Onions
Ingredients

large sweet onions (such as Vidalia or Walla Walla), halved lengthwise and thinly sliced or cut into 3/4-inch chunks

tablespoons butter or margarine
Directions
1. In a large skillet cook onions, covered, in hot butter over medium-low heat for 13 to 15 minutes or until onions are tender, stirring occasionally. Uncover; cook and stir over medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes more or until onions are golden.
2. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
