This is the second recipe I made from here, exactly as directed, that we did not like. The meat was way overcooked when cooked per directions in the crock pot. I had to go back to my own recipes. Wasted my ink printing some of these. Disappointed. It had FIVE stars, and I don't know why.

  • 1/2  teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
  • 1/2  teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2  14-ounce cans reduced-sodium chicken broth

Directions

1. In a 4- to 5-quart slow cooker combine cabbage, potato, and carrots. Top with kielbasa. Sprinkle basil, thyme, and pepper over kielbasa. Pour chicken broth over all.

My husband loves sausage and doesn't think soup or stew is a meal and he like it. There is a similar recipe you can do with Bratwurst in the slow cooker. Just add a Tablespoon of mustard and apple cider vingar; half an onion and a red bell pepper instead of the carrots. Top with cheese. The men folk are surprised ask for more.

This was ok, nothing to write home about. I would rate this three stars.
