Directions

  1. Stir together pumpkin, chicken broth, and milk in a large saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg; heat just to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  2. To serve, pour into mugs; sprinkle with chives, if desired. Makes 6 (3/4-cup) side-dish servings.
