Smokin' Bloody Marias

Ingredients

lemon halves from Smoked Lemons (see recipe, page ???)
1
recipe Smoked Ice Cubes (see recipe, page ???) or ice cubes
1/2
cup Fire-Roasted Tomato Puree or tomato juice
1/4
cup (2 ounces) tequila
1/2
teaspoon bottled chipotle pepper sauce

dashes Worcestershire sauce
1
pepper from Smoked Jalapenos (see recipe, page ???)

Directions

  1. Squeeze enough juice from the Smoked Lemon halves to measure 2 tablespoons (1 ounce).
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker half full with Smoked Ice Cubes. Add the lemon juice, Fire-Roasted Tomato Puree, tequila, chipotle pepper sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and shake until very cold. Strain into a tall glass filled with additional ice cubes. Garnish with Smoked Jalapeno pepper.

Smokin' Bloody Maria for Eight:

Squeeze enough juice from 11 Smoked Lemon halves (1 1/2 recipes) to measure 1 cup. In a pitcher combine the lemon juice, 4 cups Fire-Roasted Tomato Puree or tomato juice, 2 cups tequila, 4 teaspoons bottled chipotle pepper sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Serve in tall glasses filled with Smoked Ice Cubes or ice cubes. Garnish each with a Smoked Jalapeno pepper (2 recipes).

Fire-Roasted Tomato Puree

Ingredients

14 1/2 ounce can diced fire-roasted tomatoes, undrained

Directions

  1. Pour tomatoes into a blender or food processor. Cover and blend or process until very smooth.
