Fish Fillets au Gratin
Ingredients
-
1
pound fresh or frozen skinless fish fillets (3/4 inch thick)
-
1/4
cup fine dry bread crumbs
-
2
teaspoons snipped fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dried dillweed
-
1/4
teaspoon dried tarragon, crushed
-
1/4
teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
-
1/2
cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
Directions
1. Thaw fish, if frozen. Cut fish fillets into 4 serving-size portions. Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels. Place fish fillets in a shallow baking dish; set aside.
2. In a small bowl combine bread crumbs, dill, tarragon, and lemon-pepper seasoning. Spoon bread crumb mixture over fish. Bake, uncovered, in a 400-degree F. oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Sprinkle with cheese; bake for 3 to 5 minutes more or until cheese melts. Makes 4 servings.
