Tartar Sauce

Ingredients

cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4
cup finely chopped sweet pickle, finely chopped dill pickle, or drained sweet or dill pickle relish
1
tablespoon finely chopped green onion
1
tablespoon snipped fresh parsley
1
tablespoon diced pimiento
1
teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a small mixing bowl stir together mayonnaise or salad dressing, pickle, onion, parsley, pimiento, and lemon juice. Cover and chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Serve with fish or seafood. Makes 1-1/4 cups.

Low-Fat Tartar Sauce:

Prepare as above, except substitute 2/3 cup light mayonnaise dressing or salad dressing and 1/3 cup plain yogurt for the mayonnaise or salad dressing. Omit lemon juice.

Prepare as above. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
