Strawberry-Jalapeno Barbecue Sauce
- Cook the onion and garlic in hot oil in a small saucepan until tender. Stir in the catsup, strawberry preserves or jam, vinegar or beer, jalapeno pepper, steak sauce, and chili powder. Bring just to boiling; reduce heat. Cook, uncovered, about 10 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. Brush on pork loin ribs during last 10 minutes of grilling. Boil remaining sauce for 2 minutes to serve with the ribs. Makes about 1 cup (6 servings).

Few things. Do NOT seed jalapenos ever. And Chili powder? No. Dijon mustard instead. And Ketchup? How ghetto is the audience for this sauce? It's already sweet enough with the Strawberries. Either boil and mash your own tomatoes or use tomato sauce or in a pinch, paste and some water.
