- In a medium saucepan stir together brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in pineapple juice, balsamic vinegar or white wine vinegar, grated ginger, and salt. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Makes about 1-1/3 cups sauce (10 to 12 servings).
