Balsamic BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup lager beer
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white balsamic vinegar
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Asian chile sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
1. In a medium saucepan, combine beer, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, honey, cumin, chile sauce (if desired), chili powder, and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until desired consistency, stirring frequently. Let cool. Pour sauce into a pint jar; fasten lid.
